Quick Saturday Notes
- Felix Pie went 4-5 with a double and raised his average to .282.
- Ryan Harvey was at it again as well, going 2-4 and raising his average to .259. Harvey is now hitting 259/295/450.
- Peoria lost 12-0 yesterday, and was held to no hits by Michael Wlodarczyk.
- Tyler Colvin raised his average to .276 as he went 3-4 with a double and 2 RBIs in Boise's 5-1 win.
- Bill Muldowney pitched 4 shutout innings in Boise's win. Muldowney now has an ERA of 2.20 at Short Season Boise, and has pitched 28.2 IP, while only giving up 27 hits, 7 walks, and struck out 29.
- Jose Ceda, acquired in the Todd Walker trade, pitched 4 shutout innings for the AZL Cubs, and gave up just 2 hits and struck out 6, although he did walk 4. Ceda has a 3.60 ERA this season, but only a 0.75 ERA since being acquired by the Cubs. On the season, Ceda has pitched 35 innings and given up 26 hits, while striking out 52.

Ok i know this is really random... but i was watching the iowa game today onb gamecast...and who is jeff deardoff and jesse hoorelbeke , there both pretty old to be considerd prospects so whats the point of even playing them

Its all a game of promoting a player to a place they can succeed. Trust me, you don't want the Cubs to use the Peter Principle, as it will hurt the Cubs organization more than help.
