Minor League Update

Nashville 6 Iowa 5 - Felix Pie was moved down in the order to 7th in the lineup due to his recent struggles and went 0-3 with 3 strikeouts. Luis Montanez hit his 2nd HR for AAA Iowa, his 4th overall this season. Ryan Theriot replaced Pie at the top of the order and went 2-4 with a walk scoring 2 runs. Jerome Williams, who is now pitching in relief, went 2 scoreless innings dropping his ERA to a painful 5.23.

West Tennessee 10 Huntsville 6 - In the first game of the double-header, Chris Walker went 4-5 leading off and stole his 18th base of the season. Richard Lewis hit 3rd in the order and hit his first HR of the season and went 3-5 and drove in 4 runs. Nic Jackson didn't start but did come in to play RF and had 2 hits in his 2 at-bats raising his average to .317 on the season for West Tennessee.

West Tennessee 5 Huntsville 2 - Nic Jackson added 2 more hits in the 2nd game of the double-header raising his average now to a respectable .324. Scott Moore went 0-4 and has been struggling of late at the plate.

Brevard County 4 Daytona 3 - Ryan Harvey was moved back to the 3 hole in the lineup and went 0-4 but did drive in a run. Sam Fuld and Jemel Spearman both had 2 hits at the top of the lineup and Nate Spears hit his first HR in the top of the 9th to send it to extra innings, but ultimately it wasn't enough. Sean Gallagher pitched 6 innings giving up 6 hits, 2 walks, 2 ERs, and struck out 5, and got a no decision.
