Buck Coats gets the call

With Cesar Izturis heading to the DL, Buck Coats got the call to Chicago today. Coats can swing the stick from the left side and can play anywhere except pitcher and catcher. Coats will be competing with Ryan Theriot and Freddie Bynum as versatile players that will help on the bench next season. If this writer had his way, Ryan Theriot would be penciled in at SS and 2B for the rest of the season, but knowing Dusty Baker's ways Freddie Bynum will share time as well.
