The All-Star game
Nope, not the one you're thinking of, where the NL blew it, thanks in large part to Trevor Hoffman, but the one where I-Cub Rich Hill starts tonight. The PCL all-stars take on the IL all-stars tonight and it will be quite interesting to see how Hill fares, as he starts for the Pacific Coast League. The game will be televised on ESPN2 at 7:05 ET.
Inevitably, Hill will be recalled soon with Prior being injured and now Zambrano getting hit by a fungo last night. Look for Hill to make a start by the weekend for the major league club. Also, if I were Sean Marshall or Greg Maddux, I would find a bubble to stay in to avoid freak injuries. Even then, they couldn't avoid a sneeze to tweak a back or side.
Notes: Over at BleedCubbieBlue.com, a poster named Romero gave a nice writeup of the Iowa Cubs pitchers and position players.
