Over the Hill

There were a million of phrases to describe Rich Hill finally getting over the hump with his 8 inning performance last night against the D-Backs, but with all of the debate on the lefty, it certainly deserved the title of this post. Well, with my travel, the minor league reports will have to wait till I get back home, but for now here are some bullets:

  • Felix Pie went 3-4 with a walk, a double, and his 10th HR of the year, continuing his resurgence lately at the plate. Jae Kuk Ryu picked up the win for Iowa to move to 5-6 on the year.
  • Ryan Harvey continued his hot streak as well going 4-5 at the plate with a double
  • Mitch Atkins pitched a respectable 5 innings to move to 10-3 on the season.
  • Eric Patterson hit a pinch hit HR, number 7 on the year in West Tennessee's 4-3 win.
  • Both Alfred Joseph and Deryck Lewis homered for Boise, as Tyler Colvin's hitting streak ended as he went 0-2, although he did have 3 walks.
