Minor League Update
With Day 1 of the draft over which saw a surprise pick (Colvin), a no surprise pick (Samardzija), and a son of a big leaguer (Lansford), minor league baseball still went on as well.
Iowa 3 Oklahoma 0 - Felix Pie hit his 6th HR of the year and went 2-5, although did get caught stealing dropping him to 4-11 on the year stealing bases. Les Walrond (6-1) pitched 8 shutout innings dropping his ERA to 2.16 and gave up 4 hits and didn't walk a batter. Kerry Ligtenberg continued his impressive relief pitching by finishing off the game for his 3rd save of the year. Ligtenberg's ERA sits at 1.33 after pitching in 18 games this season for the I-Cubs.
